Delete your SuperBooks account
This page explains how to delete your account and data for SuperBooks, by Devino (14930398 Canada Inc.). See also our Privacy Policy.
Delete your account in the app
If you can sign in, this is the fastest way and it takes effect straight away:
- Sign in at app.superbooks.io.
- Open your profile menu and choose Account.
- Find the Delete account card and choose Delete.
- In the Are you absolutely sure? window, type DELETE to confirm, then choose Continue.
You are signed out as soon as the deletion completes. It cannot be undone.
If you are the only owner of a team that has other members, the deletion is refused with the message "Transfer ownership of <team> first". Transfer ownership to another member, then try again.
If you can't sign in
Email support@superbooks.io from the address on your account and ask us to delete your account and data.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in and profile — your login, your sessions, the Google or Apple sign-in linked to it, and your per-user settings such as API keys. A profile photo you uploaded is not yet removed automatically; to have it removed, email support@superbooks.io.
- Teams where you are the only member — the team and everything in it: connected bank accounts and their transactions, invoices, customers, documents, inbox items and time tracking.
- Connected services — for those teams, we delete the stored bank and mailbox connections along with your data. For a connected Google mailbox, we also ask Google to revoke our access. Shortly after, we delete the files uploaded to those teams from our storage. You can also revoke access from your bank or your Microsoft account.
Teams that have other members stay. Your membership is removed, but the team's own books and files belong to the team and remain for its other members. References to you on that shared data are cleared.
What we may keep, and for how long
- Records we must keep. We may retain certain records to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or audit obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Otherwise, after you close your account we delete or de-identify your data within a reasonable period.
- Session replays. Recordings of a sample of sessions are kept for up to five years and then deleted. They are masked in your browser before they reach us, so visible text and what you typed are not recorded.
- Logs and error reports. Kept only as long as needed to debug and secure the service. They can include file names and team identifiers.
How we handle your information in general is described in our Privacy Policy.
