Does Tangerine work with Plaid?

Can I connect Tangerine to QuickBooks or other accounting software?
SuperBooks has no QuickBooks connection: it is bookkeeping software itself, and it connects to Tangerine through Plaid. To take those transactions into another tool, export them as a CSV: one file of the transactions you select, with a column naming the bank account each one came from.
Do I need a Tangerine API or developer key?
No. SuperBooks reaches Tangerine through Plaid, read-only, and you connect with the Tangerine login you already use, so there are no developer credentials to request from the bank. Your own data is then readable over the SuperBooks REST API, its TypeScript and Python SDKs, and its MCP server — on every plan.
How do I link my Tangerine business and personal accounts?
Sign in to Tangerine through Plaid with the login that holds those accounts; SuperBooks then lists every account Plaid returns for it, and you choose which ones sync. All of them count as one bank connection on your plan. SuperBooks keeps one login per Plaid institution for each company — for Tangerine, Plaid's "Tangerine - Personal" record — so connecting it again replaces that login instead of adding a second one. If your personal and business accounts sit under two separate logins there, only one of them can be connected at a time.
Does SuperBooks store my Tangerine login?
No. You sign in through Plaid — in Plaid's own window, or on Tangerine's own site if Tangerine uses OAuth — so your password goes to Plaid or Tangerine, never to SuperBooks. The only credential SuperBooks holds is a read-only token for transactions and balances — it can never move money — and disconnecting Tangerine revokes it.
How much Tangerine history comes across?
SuperBooks asks Plaid for up to 730 days — roughly two years — the first time you connect. How much of that actually arrives depends on what Tangerine makes available through Plaid.
Does SuperBooks categorize Tangerine transactions automatically?
Yes, when it is confident. SuperBooks applies a category above a 0.7 confidence score; below that it writes nothing rather than guessing, so the Tangerine transaction stays uncategorized in your list until you set it.
Can I export my Tangerine transactions?
Yes — your transactions export as a CSV on every plan and from every role, so you can hand Tangerine activity to an accountant or load it into another tool whenever you want.
