What the AI does with
your US Bank activity.
Connecting U.S. Bank isn't the finish line — it's the input. Here is what SuperBooks does with each transaction, and the one step that stays yours.
Every US Bank transaction syncs into SuperBooks through Plaid — read-only. We can see the money move; we can never move it.
Upload a receipt, then attach it to the US Bank transaction it belongs to. It stays linked from then on.
Each US Bank expense is sorted into a category you control, and the expenses-by-category report adds them up for your accountant.
Profit and loss, burn rate and runway are computed from your US Bank feed each time you open them, so they are never a month behind.
SuperBooks asks Plaid for up to 24 months of US Bank history the moment you connect — how much comes back is US Bank's call — so your first month starts with history already behind it.
Every currency,
kept as it happened.
US Bank posts in USD. Invoice a client in EUR or pay a vendor in GBP: each account, transaction and invoice keeps the currency it happened in, and your invoice totals convert to USD at the day's published rate.
One read-only link to set up.
Up to two years of history.
SuperBooks asks Plaid for up to 24 months of US Bank transactions and categorizes each one it is confident about.
We can't move your money.
That's by design.
Plaid handles authentication. We hold a read-only OAuth token and nothing else — your US Bank credentials never touch our servers.
Full security disclosureWhat people ask before
they connect US Bank.
Straight answers, each one true of SuperBooks as it ships today rather than as it is planned.
Does U.S. Bank work with Plaid?
Yes. Plaid lists US Bank as "U.S. Bank", institution ID ins_127990. In the snapshot of Plaid's institution list SuperBooks took on July 12, 2026, it is one of 9,761 active US institutions.
Can I connect U.S. Bank to QuickBooks or other accounting software?
SuperBooks has no QuickBooks connection: it is bookkeeping software itself, and it connects to US Bank through Plaid. To take those transactions into another tool, export them as a CSV: one file of the transactions you select, with a column naming the bank account each one came from.
Do I need a U.S. Bank API or developer key?
No. SuperBooks reaches US Bank through Plaid, read-only, and you connect with the US Bank login you already use, so there are no developer credentials to request from the bank. Your own data is then readable over the SuperBooks REST API, its TypeScript and Python SDKs, and its MCP server — on every plan.
How do I link my U.S. Bank business and personal accounts?
Sign in to US Bank through Plaid with the login that holds those accounts; SuperBooks then lists every account Plaid returns for it, and you choose which ones sync. All of them count as one bank connection on your plan. SuperBooks keeps one login per Plaid institution for each company — for US Bank, Plaid's "U.S. Bank" record — so connecting it again replaces that login instead of adding a second one. If your personal and business accounts sit under two separate logins there, only one of them can be connected at a time.
Does SuperBooks store my U.S. Bank login?
No. You sign in through Plaid — in Plaid's own window, or on US Bank's own site if US Bank uses OAuth — so your password goes to Plaid or US Bank, never to SuperBooks. The only credential SuperBooks holds is a read-only token for transactions and balances — it can never move money — and disconnecting US Bank revokes it.
How much U.S. Bank history comes across?
SuperBooks asks Plaid for up to 730 days — roughly two years — the first time you connect. How much of that actually arrives depends on what US Bank makes available through Plaid.
Does SuperBooks categorize U.S. Bank transactions automatically?
Yes, when it is confident. SuperBooks applies a category above a 0.7 confidence score; below that it writes nothing rather than guessing, so the US Bank transaction stays uncategorized in your list until you set it.
Can I export my U.S. Bank transactions?
Yes — your transactions export as a CSV on every plan and from every role, so you can hand US Bank activity to an accountant or load it into another tool whenever you want.
What does connecting U.S. Bank cost?
Nothing to start: the free plan includes 1 bank connection and takes no credit card. Starter raises that to 3 connections and Pro to 10.
